  • - Presentation Application
  • Please proceed with user registration before applying for a presentation. Refer to the web page Registration for more details. After that, please login into “my page”, click the button “New registration of a presentation”, and then input category, title, abstract to apply for a new presentation. Those who apply for two or more presentations can add presentation information by performing “New registration of a presentation” again.

 

  • - How to format your manuscript and submit it to SCIS2012
  • After a presentation application, only electronic submission is accepted.
    For a submission, the abstract must be within 1300 characters and the full paper must not exceed 8 pages (A4 size, not exceeding 1.5MB). The abstract text is inputted on Web and the manuscript of the full paper must be in PDF form. The registered “Abstract” and the submitted “Full paper” are collected for the printed abstract proceeding (Sample) and the CD-ROM proceeding, respectively. Please use the following styles (Latex, Word) to prepare your manuscript. It is possible that the submitted paper cannot be collected to the CD-ROM proceeding if the above style file is not used. For those who cannot use LaTex and Word, please contact SCIS2012 Secretariat. For more details, please refer to How to format your manuscript and submit it to SCIS2012.

 

NOTE: SCIS2012 is a symposium held in Japan by the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE). So the copyright of submitted papers belongs to IEICE.

 

About the Technical Exhibition Session

There is a technical exhibition session at SCIS2012. The application deadline is December 16, 2011. Please read the “Technical Exhibition Session” [PDF version] (Japanese) before filling the “Application form for Technical Exhibition” [MS Word version] (Japanese) and then send the form to scis2012-tech(at)is.naist.jp.

 

About Night Session

A customary night session will be held at SCIS2012. If you are going to do a presentation at the night session, please refer to the application forms of SCIS2012 Night Session [PDF version] [Word version] (Japanese) for details. If there are too many applications, they will be arranged in the first-come-first-served basis.

In addition, a meal will be offered in the night session. You can choose from the menu of “Meal selection in the night session” during conference registration. The night session menu is also published on the page of Schedule.

 

Paper Awards

Innovation paper award

Candidates: all papers

A new paper prize, named innovation paper award, for all the presented papers is established by Technical Committee on Information Security (ISEC). The innovation paper prize aims at encouragement of "new research and technological development." All original papers including proposals of new problems and new research areas in information and communications technology (ICT) as well as theoretical results are considered candidates. We are looking forward to the great presentations by many engineers and researchers to "new research and technological development".

SCIS paper award

Candidates: a paper co-authored and presented by a person who is within 10 years from first Bachelor degree.

The SCIS paper prize was set up in 1993 by Technical Committee on Information Security (ISEC) for the purpose of encouraging the young who play an active role in the cryptography and information security field. We are looking forward to the great presentations by many young engineers and researchers relevant to "new research and technological development".
